Body Hair
I've often found the conversation about body hair on models to be interesting and at times both humorous and offensive. In the years before the internet it wasn't much talked about, if at all. Models did what they wanted to with the hair on their heads and bodies without it being the subject of so much debate. It's all so subjective that intelligent conversations about it quickly devolve into nothing more than opinions about what arouses a person sexually, which is all fine and well but for me personally has nothing to do with the work I do as an artist.
I'll make it personal: I have full head of thick, curly hair that's been all over the ma
thank you
As I approach a million views of my images here on dA over the past 3 years I take a moment to say thank you. I have often wished I had the time to express my thanks for each comment or favorite or engage people with thoughtful comments in a conversation. But I have to keep myself focused on creating and editing the images and there isn't time to respond as often as I'd like to. As the warm weather returns to the Rocky Mountains where I live I'll be out on location once again working with my extraordinary models and crafting an entirely new body of work, which in the by and by will be shared here. Ivy at the group Hot-Y Chromosomes interviewed me recently and has now published our conversations on the group's page. Some of his questions made me think about things that I don't often pay a lot of attention to and I enjoyed scratching around in my head for the answers. I think it's a good interview with some interesting insights into my work. Check it out if you're so inclined.

Stock Imagery
Recently someone here pointed me in the direction of a digital collage they'd crafted using one of my images as its centerpiece, thinking I'm sure that I would be flattered. I wasn't. They didn't ask to use the image and they didn't credit me when they posted it. On my profile page it makes it very clear that my work isn't stock and is not to be used in any way without my express written permission. This person took what is an extraordinary pose by a world-class yogi on the Bonneville Salt Flats and turned it into something dark and sinister. Even more reason to be off-put by their unauthorized use of my image.
