Chance & The White Angora Blanket Photographed by Tom Clark at Arches National Park in Utah
The White Angora Blanket continues its journey of keeping naked bodies warm in winter. It will never be washed; it carries the DNA of a lot of beautiful people and will continue to gather more as the years go by.
The White Angora Blanket project is ongoing and will continue until I die, at which time the blanket will become my daughter's along with the collection of images that feature it. Winter is in full swing and the blanket continues its journey. Let me know if you'd like to be a part of it. The only stipulation that comes with being photographed with the White Angora Blanket is that you be completely naked underneath it. How much of your body you show or don't show is up to you.
While most of the images with the blanket so far have been done in Utah it will accompany me on my travels no matter where I'm going. Don't let the fact that you live in Germany or the Czech Republic discourage you. I have a passport. I travel.
What a wonder-ful project and heirloom for your daughter! And such a beautiful image, with its subtle colours and delicate lines. One hears the quiet and feels the majesty.
Thank you. There's snow on the ground here this morning so it means it's time to start doing the Angora Blanket pictures again. I'm excited because everybody seems to become magical under the blanket.
We're in Ottawa, Ontario. The big snows don't come here until around Christmas time - and when they do, it's magnificent. Deep deep snow and brilliant sunlight. Like a dreamscape from Doctor Zhivago. Perhaps your magic blanket will make its way here, some day. Cheers!
i know i commented on this before but i just keep coming back to it. reminds me of a feeling i had ones when i was on a winter hike in the boy scouts. we got up after a cold night and went for a hike in the new fallen snow. i'm not exactly sure why it reminds me of that but it was a vary mistic experience for me. this work is just imviewed with mistsisem
I agree, there is a feeling of the mystical and surreal here. It was still snowing when we took these pictures and the area was completely silent and deserted except for the two of us. It's an amazing place.
